Meagan Shedd, PhD

Meagan Shedd is an Assistant Professor primarily housed with the MSU Center for Regional Food Systems (CRFS). She works in Farm to Early Care and K-12 Education, connecting education and food systems to increase access to locally produced, affordable, and safe, healthy food for children from birth through high school. At CRFS, she coordinates the Farm to ECE network and works at both the state and national level to provide training and technical assistance regarding procurement, food safety, and the overlap in research-based developmentally appropriate best practices in child development across content areas. She earned degrees in Dietetics (BS), Community Services (MS), and Educational Psychology and Educational Technology (PhD), all from Michigan State and has over 20 years of experience in early childhood, working in public health, Extension, and higher education.
