These certificates consist of a series of region-specific food law courses taught completely online by a network of food science academic and legal professionals who understand the legal complexities of food laws and regulations and how they impact the flow of food and agricultural products across national boundaries.

Certificate in Homeland Security

Michigan State University’s School of Criminal Justice, in collaboration with colleges across campus, has created a three-course online certificate program that allows working professionals and graduate students to add a focus in homeland security to their career or academic plans.

Certificates of Professional or Technical Accomplishment in Packaging

The Professional certificate is designed for students with a background and/or degree in packaging. Students in the MSFS degree program would take the three approved Packaging courses as electives. The Technical certificate is designed for students without a degree in packaging but who have the appropriate skills in math and science. This certificate combined with the MSFS degree would require a total of 32 credits.

Complete a Second Degree
