Dr. John Tilden Jr. joined MSU’s Online Food Safety Program in May 2017. John is a proud Spartan who completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree at MSU. After working in food animal practice Dr. Tilden earned an MPH from Johns Hopkins University and worked for CDC as an Epidemic Intelligence Officer. He has over 30 years of experience working with local, state, and federal agencies programs focusing on outbreak investigation, food emergency response, food safety prevention, continuous process improvement, and organizational capacity development. Dr. Tilden enjoys working closely with agricultural and food industry managers, leaders, and employees to determine the causes of food contamination and to implement cost-effective preventive measures.
