How We Teach

Where do I take classes?

Our program is using an online instruction platform provided by Desire2Learn Learning Management System. All courses are hosted and taught online inside this system. All assessment is taking place in this system as well. Help information can be found on the D2L Help Site.

What instructional materials do I need?

MSU students have access to the vast Internet resources available through the MSU Library.  Any course materials requiring purchase will be visible from the MSU Schedule of Courses by clicking the course section number.  Most materials will be provided online. You may visit the MSU Libraries Graduate Resources for extra resources.

"The Online Master of Science in Food Safety program was much more in depth than I expected. By having more than one professor for each course, I felt that I received a well-rounded education as we learned from professors and industry leaders with differing backgrounds and experience."
