Dear Students, alumni, faculty, and friends of the Online Master of Science in Food Safety program:

It is with mixed emotions that I share with you that I will be resigning as the Director of the Master of Science in Food Safety degree program as of June 30, 2014.  I will be assuming the position of Associate Dean of Professional Academic Programs and Student Services in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University.  Although I am extremely excited about this new opportunity, I will miss my home with the MS in Food Safety family.

It has been a gift to me to work in this program.  The MS in Food Safety program is a recognized leader in food safety education.  This is attributable to the students, alumni, faculty and staff who are second to none!

Transition plans for a Director for the MS in Food Safety program are underway and will be announced soon.  I look forward to watching the program reach new heights!  I am certain the program will continue to exceed expectations.

Thank you again for the gift you all have given to me by allowing me to work with you.

Sincerely,

Julie Funk signature
